About Krea
Krea started as an image generator with a real-time canvas and has grown into a multi-model workspace. The core of the product is model access: one subscription and one compute balance covers Krea's own models plus third-party image and video models such as Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana Pro, ChatGPT Image 2 and Topaz upscalers.
What changed in 2026: a March redesign added drag-and-drop workflows, voice mode and a Node Agent that builds a node workflow from one sentence. Krea Edit added region edits, relighting and annotations. Krea 2 (May 2026) shipped with a public API, moodboards and LoRA training, and Krea 2 Turbo and Raw weights were released in June. Seedance 2.5 arrived in July and August, with a generate-audio option and up to 50 reference inputs per request.
For a film or video workflow, Krea works best as a pre-production and shot-generation layer: moodboards, look development, concept frames, stills for pre-vis, and short hero clips from the video models. It is not an editor; cuts, color and final delivery still happen in an NLE or grading tool. Its main value to a producer is that one account gives access to many models, which avoids separate subscriptions and separate credit pools for each one.
